1.) For routine external cleaning: Disconnect the camera, securely cover the cable connector, and wipe the camera head and cable with a disinfectant for the specified contact time; do not spray liquid directly, do not immerse the equipment, or allow moisture into the connector, and remember that wiping does not replace sterilization when the camera is used in a sterile field.

2.) Low-temperature vaporized hydrogen peroxide or hydrogen-peroxide gas-plasma sterilization may be used

4.) The camera head is autoclavable when the correct sterilization protocol is followed:

• Clean the camera head after use and dry it completely.

• Securely cover the cable connector with the supplied protective cap.

• Place the camera head and cable carefully in a suitable sterilization tray. Do not bend, twist, or tightly coil the cable.

• Wrap the tray properly using approved sterilization wrapping material.

• Always follow the approved cycle parameters stated in the product manual and your hospital’s validated sterilization protocol.

• Allow the equipment to cool and dry completely—or complete the required ETO aeration—before use.

• Inspect the camera head, cable, and connector for damage before reconnecting.
  
  Important: Safe autoclaving requires proper cleaning and drying, securely covering the cable connector, placing and wrapping the camera correctly in a suitable tray without bending or compressing the cable, and strictly following the specified cycle parameters

Important: Do not use Cidex or immerse the camera head, cable, or connector in a Cidex tray. Sterilization should be performed only by trained personnel.
